Cryptocurrency custody firm Copper has hired Tammy Weinrib as its new chief compliance officer and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) officer for the Americas. Weinrib will lead the company's licensing efforts in the U.S. market and be part of Copper's executive team in New York. This hiring is part of Copper's expansion in the U.S. and follows the appointment of Amar Kuchinad as global CEO. Weinrib previously held similar roles at Binance.US and Gemini and has a background in traditional finance. Copper had also recently withdrew its application to become registered with the UK's financial services regulator as part of its strategic shift to focus on other markets.
