Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, revealed that former U.S. President Donald Trump is enthusiastic about the idea of a strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Although Armstrong did not discuss a Bitcoin reserve with Trump directly, the president expressed strong interest in Bitcoin and even aspired to become the first "Bitcoin President." Armstrong believes that any government holding gold should also hold Bitcoin as a reserve. Senator Cynthia Lummis, a prominent Bitcoin advocate, praised Trump's influence over Bitcoin-related legislation, emphasizing that both executive and legislative actions are crucial for success. Six U.S. states have already proposed their own strategic Bitcoin reserve bills. The newly-appointed SEC Acting Chairman, Mark T. Uyeda, announced the formation of a crypto task force focused on defining clear regulatory guidelines for the crypto sector.
