The use of cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin, is growing in Brazil as shown by the increase in the number of Bitcoin ATMs across major cities. The number of ATMs has gone from four in 2021 to nine at present, making Bitcoin buying and selling more convenient and accessible. Coin Cloud has played a significant role in this expansion and plans to further promote the knowledge and acceptance of cryptocurrencies in Brazil. This trend is not exclusive to Brazil, as there are now over 38,000 Bitcoin ATMs in 67 countries worldwide. Despite lagging behind its Latin American neighbors in terms of overall ATM numbers, Brazil is experiencing a cultural shift towards Bitcoin acceptance, driven by a younger, more tech-savvy population and a demand for alternatives to traditional banking systems. As the popularity and demand for cryptocurrencies rise, the accessibility of Bitcoin ATMs is expected to increase. This shift in attitude towards cryptocurrencies has the potential to accelerate the development of a more robust cryptocurrency ecosystem in Brazil.
