The Central Bank of Bolivia has reported that crypto activity in the country has significantly increased since the ban on crypto operations was lifted. Purchase and sales operations for crypto assets have grown over 100%, with over 252,000 Bolivians now holding digital assets. The volume of these operations has surpassed $75 million in the last four months, compared to $46.4 million in the previous quarter. The rising popularity of crypto assets has also led to an increase in the number of institutions providing crypto services in Bolivia, with nine companies now offering such services. The bank believes that the use of stablecoins like USDT can help to address the dollar scarcity issue in the country.
