According to Galaxy Research's report "Crypto Predictions for 2025," major corporations and sovereign nations are expected to add Bitcoin to their balance sheets. The report predicts that five Nasdaq 100 companies and five nation states will make such announcements. This trend is driven by strategic considerations, portfolio diversification needs, and trade settlement requirements. Competition among nation states, particularly those unallied with major powers or those holding large sovereign wealth funds, will fuel strategies to mine or acquire Bitcoin. The report also projects that the US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded products will reach $250 billion in assets under management by 2025. Major hedge funds have already invested in Bitcoin ETPs. The price of Bitcoin is expected to surpass $150,000 in the first half of 2025 and approach $185,000 in the fourth quarter. Additionally, Bitcoin is predicted to reach 20% of gold's market capitalization during this period. The research also suggests that a leading wealth management platform will recommend a Bitcoin allocation of 2% or higher in their model portfolios.
