Mike McGlone, chief commodity strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, believes that gold may outperform the S&P 500 index next year as it reaches a peak of 26% in 2021. He suggests that gold may attract investors from the stock market, especially if Bitcoin has peaked this year. Additionally, McGlone notes that by 2025, gold will also attract investors from the crypto market, including Bitcoin. Meanwhile, the price of Bitcoin is currently below $100,000 but has seen a 3% increase in the past 24 hours. The main reason for Bitcoin's inability to go back above $100,000 is attributed to the circulating Tether FUD, which raises concerns about the stablecoin's compliance with new regulatory rules in Europe. However, Tether's CEO has refuted these rumors, stating that Europe will not deem USDT illegal on its markets.
