Bitcoin's market dominance has reached over 60% for the first time since April 2021, with its market cap at $1.43 trillion. Bitcoin's market share has increased by almost 17% since the beginning of the year. It has outperformed altcoins in October, reaching a multi-month high of $73,562. Bitcoin maximalists are celebrating this milestone. On the other hand, Ethereum has seen a significant drop in its market share, with the ETH/BTC pair at its lowest level since April 2021 and down nearly 60% over the past two years. Despite this, Ethereum proponents still believe it has a chance to succeed in the long term.
