On Christmas Eve, the price of Bitcoin is nearing the $100,000 mark, currently trading at $98,703. This surge of nearly 6% has resulted in the liquidation of approximately $61 million worth of Bitcoin shorts. The S&P 500 index has also risen by 1% and the Nasdaq 100 index is up by 1.3%. Despite the recent price increase, Bitcoin is still down around 9% from its all-time high. In comparison to last year's Christmas Eve price of $43,000, this year's price is significantly higher. Throughout 2024, Bitcoin has seen a surge of almost 140%, and some experts speculate that it may double in price in 2025.
