Crypto exchange giant Binance has received a $2 billion investment from Abu Dhabi-based investment firm MGX. This is the first institutional placement for Binance and the first digital asset-focused investment for MGX. The investment was made in stablecoins, although the specific currency was not disclosed. Binance is currently the largest crypto exchange in the world in terms of trading volume, with over $20 billion daily. The company already has a presence in Abu Dhabi and employs around 1,000 people in the city. The CEO of Binance, Richard Teng, previously led the Abu Dhabi Financial Services Regulatory Authority.
