German billionaire Christian Angermayer has reportedly relocated from the UK to Switzerland due to changes in offshore wealth taxes. As a "non-dom" in the UK, Angermayer was able to avoid paying taxes on overseas income and earnings for up to 15 years. However, new regulations implemented in March require non-doms to pay taxes on overseas income after just four years. The UK government also plans to remove inheritance tax breaks on assets in overseas trusts. Angermayer views these changes as a mistake and believes that many non-doms will leave the country. He is known for introducing Tether to various investments, including Northern Data and Block. One, and charges fees for connecting client firms to investors. He will now be based in Lugano, where bitcoin and tether can reportedly be used for bill payments.
