The Aura Blockchain Consortium has announced that it has welcomed two new Italian luxury brands, Poltrona Frau and Savio Firmino, into its network. The Consortium, which promotes innovation in the luxury sector through blockchain technology, is now expanding into luxury furniture. Poltrona Frau and Savio Firmino plan to implement customized Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiatives for their products in order to enhance authenticity, traceability, and sustainability for their consumers. Through collaboration with Aura, the brands will develop immutable digital identities and ownership certificates for their furniture based on blockchain. The partnership aims to achieve traceability in the luxury furniture sector. Poltrona Frau and Savio Firmino will be implementing DPPs for their iconic products, and Savio Firmino will change blockchain providers to gain access to the expertise of Aura Blockchain Consortium. The Aura blockchain was launched in 2019 by LVMH, ConsenSys, and Microsoft Azure, and has since become a platform dedicated to luxury goods.
