BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes has expressed his interest in trading Solana (SOL), a rival to Ethereum (ETH), ahead of the upcoming US presidential election. Hayes believes that Solana will experience a price increase in line with Bitcoin (BTC) and considers it a high-beta Bitcoin with good liquidity. He sees Solana as a better trading option compared to Ethereum, as he considers Ethereum to be old, slow, and boring. Despite his interest in Solana, Hayes has stated that he will not be selling any of his long ETH positions. Currently, Solana is trading at $169.51, experiencing a 1.51% dip in the last 24 hours, while Ethereum and Bitcoin are valued at $2,502 and $70,749 respectively.
