The Cardano Foundation has announced the transition from the Interim Constitution to the Cardano Constitution, following a review by the Interim Constitutional Committee (iCC) and support from the Cardano community. The new Constitution aims to create a more structured and long-term governance model for Cardano, with key provisions including the election of a permanent Constitutional Committee by the community and the establishment of specific rules and guardrails for security and stability. The transition was made possible by the Chang Hard Fork, which enabled a decentralized governance system. The Plomin hard fork further advanced decentralized governance, aligning with Charles Hoskinson's vision for community-led governance. Several entities within the Cardano ecosystem have supported the Plomin hard fork.
