The men disguised their theft by spreading the money between various cryptocurrency exchanges and mixing services. They were arrested by the FBI and charged with wire fraud and money laundering. The victim's identity has not been disclosed, but it is revealed that they had 4,100 Bitcoin at the time of the theft. Cryptocurrency scams have become increasingly prevalent in recent years.
