Description

What is ZClassic Crypto Currency? ZClassic (ZCL) is a decentralised, open-source cryptocurrency founded by Rhett Creighton in 2016. It is a fork of Zcash – a project developed by the well-known Zerocoin Electric Coin Company – which shares many features with Bitcoin, but offers enhanced privacy and security features. ZClassic combines the same technology and streamlined PoW (Proof of Work) protocol found in Bitcoin, with the added privacy features of Zcash. Who Founded It? ZClassic was created by Rhett Creighton – a software engineer and open source developer. Creighton has worked on a number of projects since the early 2000s, including OpenBazaar and the Loki project. What Makes it Unique? ZClassic is an interesting project that has diverged significantly from its predecessor, Zcash. The main difference is that ZClassic does not levy a founders fee or a tax on miners – as Zcash does – in order to fund development, marketing and other costs. This means that all miner rewards are passed back to the miners, without removing a percentage for other purposes. Where is it Used? Though still relatively obscure, there are a number of merchant services that accept ZClassic. Platforms such as OpenBazaar, BitcoinDark, and Crypto Currecny Store all accept ZCL. Additionally, ZCL is currently traded on exchanges including Bittrex, Cryptopia, and Trade Satoshi – as well as other smaller exchanges. Where to Buy/Sell it? To buy or sell ZClassic, users can use a wide array of exchanges and trading platforms. Most of these services offer direct purchase of ZClassic with fiat currencies, but some also offer the ability to exchange for / from other cryptocurrencies instead. Common trading platforms for ZClassic include Bittrex, Cryptopia, and Trade Satoshi. Comments ZClassic is certainly an interesting project, offering users the same core tech as Bitcoin with additional privacy and security features. It has a committed team of developers, and is slowly emerging from obscurity to gain popularity amongst crypto traders and merchants. We may also see further development as the project matures, and as time progresses.
