All-Time-High (ATH)

All-Time-High (ATH) is a term used in the cryptocurrency market to refer to the highest point in price and market capitalization that a specific cryptocurrency has reached in its history. This can be determined by looking at historical trading data and charting the highest point of a coin's price over time.

For example, the ATH for Bitcoin was reached in December 2017 when the price of one Bitcoin exceeded $20,000. Similarly, Ethereum's ATH was reached in January 2018 when the price of one Ethereum exceeded $1,400.

It's important to note that ATHs are not only limited to the price of a coin, but can also refer to the market capitalization of a coin, which is calculated by multiplying the total number of coins in circulation by the current price of one coin.

ATHs can be used as a benchmark to measure the performance of a coin over time, and can also be used as a metric to evaluate the potential of a coin in the future. However, it's important to note that past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results, and that many factors, such as market conditions, regulatory changes, and investor sentiment, can affect the price of a coin.
